COLLEGE NEWS | FBC CoP students garner recognition at PPhA 2025 National Convention
FBC College of Pharmacy students showcased academic excellence during the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA) 2025 National Convention, with the theme "Pharmacists for a Unified and Sustainable Healthcare," held on April 23–26, 2025, at Hotel Supreme Mall & Events Place, Baguio City, in that they received top honors at research competitions.
In the Oral Research Presentation (Undergraduate Level), local pride was at its best as FBC was proudly represented by Ms. Angel Lyn Fabale and Ms. Angiestelle M. Rosaldes. The first round on April 24 had contestants from 10 pharmacy schools in the country. Three students only made it to the final round on April 25, and two of them were Angel Lyn and Angiestelle, with one student from the Lyceum of the Philippines—Davao.
Driven with dedicated preparation and passionate deliverance, Angiestelle M. Rosaldes secured first with her paper, "Anticoagulant Effects of Syzygium samarangense (Makopa) Ethanolic Leaf Extract in Male Albino Rats,” while Angel Lyn Fabale placed second with her paper, "Gastroprotective Properties of Chitosan Derived from Mantis Shrimp (Oratosquilla oratoria) Exoskeleton in NSAID-Induced Gastric Ulcers in Albino Mice."
Moreover, Mr. Sam Gabriel Hitalia of FBC showcased his research work during the Research Poster Presentation, imparting the strong focus of the institution on scientific and academic excellence.
The success of the FBC COP students serves as a source of inspiration for future pharmacists and as proof of the success of perseverance, collaboration, and a Godly motivated pursuit of excellence.
